A Quinte West firefighter and a Hastings-Quinte paramedic have been injured in a crash in Trenton.
The pair was in the back of an ambulance, transporting a patient to Trenton Memorial Hospital from a medical call, when the crash happened at Dufferin and King Streets, around 4:00 p.m.
Fire Chief John Whelan tells Quinte News an SUV was involved in the crash and both the firefighter and paramedic suffered minor injuries, but no other details are available.
Whelan says another ambulance was called and transported both emergency workers, plus the original patient, to TMH.
There is a heavy police presence in the Dufferin and King area currently, so drivers should keep that in mind on the evening commute.
