Three members of the Victory Barbell Club competed at the 2016 Ontario Junior Weightlifting competition in Oakville.
Despite competing in a heavier weight class, 14 year old Connor Bazilsky set 6 new provincial records with a total lift of 305 pounds.
16 year old Austin Roy won a silver medal in the 62 kilo men’s category.
And 16 year old Blake Maracle competed in his first Provincial Championship and finished 5th in his division.
Bayside Secondary School will host a weightlifting contest on December 17th. Lifting starts at 9 a.m. There is no admission charge.
