Belleville is poised to undertake one major road construction project, while very slowly making its way toward another.
Early in 2017 the city will be applying to the province for the OK to work on the Haig Road and Station Street extensions in Belleville’s east end.
Director of Engineering Rod Bovay says staff is working on the detailed designs right now.
Meanwhile the Sidney Street to Bell Boulevard reconstruction project is on hold.
Bovay says the major project involves several feet of widening at the Loblaw’s property.
