Slippery road conditions caused a tractor trailer to splash into the Moira River earlier Monday morning.
Tweed firefighters and OPP responded around 1:30 a.m, after receiving reports of a transport going through a guardrail, with part of it ending up in the river off Highway 37 near the Tweed Tim Horton’s shop (Sulphide Road).
A source tells Quinte News the driver is uninjured.
The OPP say snow contributed to the crash.
The highway has been re-opened.
