A new study released by the Fraser Institute is shedding some light on a dark problem in eastern Ontario.
A regional analysis of eastern Ontario is showing the area has had negative job growth since the recession of 2008-09.
Ben Eisen is a Director with the Fraser Institute and says Ontario numbers can be misleading.
Eisen adds that it has been slow going for the province over the last decade.
Eisen says it is critical for the province to promote a pro growth framework in public policy, in order for this trend to be corrected.
31,000 jobs have dropped in eastern Ontario since 2008.
