An 18 year-old Belleville woman has been charged in connection with the death of a 24 year-old city man, who was hit by a car in October.
City Police were first called to Walmsley Place, on October 23, 2016, after reports of a man lying in the street.
24 year-old Aaron Rushlow was found at the scene with severe injuries and was taken to Kingston General Hospital where he later died.
Following a month-long investigation by the Traffic Management Unit and Criminal Investigations Division, Belleville Police have charged Shelby Zielski-Thibeault with criminal negligence causing death, dangerous driving causing death, leaving the scene of an accident and breaching probation.
She had a bail hearing in Belleville court, scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
