St. Theresa Secondary School graduate Cassidy Vinkle was named the Most Valuable Player at last weekend’s Windjammer Classic Women’s University Hockey Tournament in Vermont.
Vinkle is a forward for the Division 1 Clarkson Golden Knights. She scored the winning goal against the University of Vermont in the final. The former Belleville Bearcat was also named to the Tournament All Star Team.
Clarkson is unbeaten in their last 12. Vinkle has been nominated for Clarkson’s Athlete of the Week two weeks in a row.
