A local realtor is roughing it on a downtown Belleville rooftop in an effort to raise money for local women’s shelters.
John Ross Parks has been living in a tent on the roof of the Royal LePage ProAlliance Realty building in downtown Belleville since Friday.
He plans to brave the cold and stay up there until he raises $25,000 for the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, which supports shelters for battered women nationwide.
As of early Sunday, John Ross Parks had raised over $5,000.
While living in a tent on a rooftop seems simple enough, Parks is tech savvy and is live-streaming his life 24 hours a day.
