The Picton Pirates gave everything they had on the ice last night, but in the end, it wasn’t enough to beat the Provincial Junior C Hockey League’s number one ranked team.
The Port Hope Panthers scored three unanswered markers to beat the Pirates 5-2 last night and run their undefeated streak to 19.
Jordon Cannons and Jacob Murphy both scored for Picton in the loss.
Brendan Macham made 41 saves in the Pirates cage.
Shots favoured Port Hope 46-23.
Picton looks to put the loss behind them as they will head to Gananoque to face the Islanders for a 7 p.m. puck drop.
