Prince Edward County fire crews responded to a small fire at the Essroc Cement plant late Wednesday night.
Around 11:30 p.m., emergency crews were called to the facility on County Road 49, where they discovered hydraulic fluid on fire.
Officials say the on-site crew were able to extinguish most of the flame and smoke.
Crews were on scene for around an hour, however no major damage was done.
No cause is known at this time.
