On the morning of November 16, 2016, officers from the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to Rose Island Road in the Township of Wollaston for a fail to remain motor vehicle collision.
Upon arrival, officers observed that a motor vehicle left the roadway, came in contact with a tree and the driver failed to remain with the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, Robert ARDEN, 28 years of Wollaston Township, was charged with:
Two counts of Fail to comply with probation contrary to section 733.1(1) Criminal Code of Canada (CCC),
Driving while disqualified contrary to section 259(4) CCC and, Fail to remain contrary to section 200(1)(a) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
The accused was held for a bail hearing on 17 November, 2016 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville Ontario.
