Canada 150 celebration preparations are starting to take shape in the County.
The Canada C3 exploring vessel will be leaving the Port of Toronto on June 1, 2017, taking a 150-day cruise down the St. Lawrence River and around the Northwest Passage. Among its first stops is the Picton Harbour on June 2 and 3.
During the expedition Canada C3 aims to engage millions of Canadians from across the country.
The company website touts it as a transformative journey that will capture our hearts and imaginations and help inspire a deeper understanding, appreciation and future vision for Canada. Canada C3 will explore the four key themes of Canada 150 that represent both challenges and opportunities for Canada: Diversity and Inclusion, Reconciliation, Youth Engagement, and the Environment.

The County just recently established and appointed members to the Canada 150 and Prince Edward County 225 celebration Ad Hoc committees to collaborate festivity efforts.
