This year’s Trenton Poppy Campaign has been declared a success.
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 110 Trenton has wrapped up the campaign with a collection of $40,000.
Cadets from Royal Tiger Squadron, 704 Squadron and Navy Cadets assisted during the Poppy Drive.
Branch President Manny Raspberry says the money is used to support veterans.
Raspberry says he was pleased there were no stolen poppy boxes this year.
Raspberry says all Legion branches donate some of the money to bigger projects, such as housing for homeless veterans.
He says most of these are in Toronto or Ottawa.
