Led by a Mac Lewis hat-trick and four points from Michael Silveri, the Trenton Golden Hawks made it two-for-two on their weekend with a 5-2 triumph over the Stouffville Spirit Saturday night.
Lewis scored his 8th, 9th and 10th goals of the season, while Silveri’s two tallies were his 13th and 14th of the year. Jordan Chard added a pair of assists, while single helpers went to Louis DiMatteo, Andrew Cordssen-David, Rex Moe, Ben Scheel, Lucas Brown and Liam Morgan.
Chris Janzen stopped 18 shots in his first game back from the Eastern Canada Cup Challenge. Shots favoured the G-Hawks 38-20 in the contest.
Trenton continues their road swing with a stop in Aurora Sunday night. Game time is 7 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Wellington Dukes will be at home to finish off a busy weekend of their own, when they take on the Whitby Fury. Puck drop is set for 2 p.m. CJBQ will be on the air starting at 1:50 with the Coaches’ Pregame Show for Prinzen Ford Sales of Bloomfield and Wellington Home Hardware.
