A new housing development in Quinte West is closer to becoming a reality.
Thursday, Quinte West’s Planning Advisory Committee gave its approval to a draft
plan of a subdivision to Hilden Homes to build 89 homes along with some townhouses, in Frankford.
The development would be on the south side of Huffman Road, fronting on Mitchell Drive.
If all conditions are met, the project will come back to the Planning Committee for final approval and then on to Quinte West council.
And, if the provincial government gives final approval, there could be two new ground mounted solar panel arrays built in the City of Quinte West.
The Planning Advisory Committee voted to support a 500 KW solar installation at 1485 Harrington Road, about three miles north of the 401 in Sidney ward.
Also, the committee supported another 500 KW ground mounted solar array for the property at 399 Mackenzie Road, just south of Harrington Road.
