There is still no update as to when the Trenton Walmart will be open after a fire on Tuesday.
Fire crews responded around 3 a.m. to find flames in a storage room near the shoe department. The building was evacuated and no one was injured.
Quinte West Deputy Fire Chief Dan Smith says it will be an extended period of time before the doors open again at the 2nd Dug Hill Road site.
The investigation was turned over to the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office and Smith says they are still waiting for a report on a cause to come back.
Damage has been estimated around $4 million due to smoke and water.
Meanwhile, the YMCA in Quinte West held a job fair Wednesday hiring 100 to 150 people to help clean up the store. The positions were quickly filled for 12 hour shifts at $18/hour, expected to last three weeks.
The company says until the Trenton location reopens, anyone who needs prescriptions filled or picked up, can do so at the Belleville store on Millenium Parkway.
