There is a large police presence at the Royal Bank on Dundas Street West in downtown Trenton this hour.
Witnesses at the scene report the bank was robbed and police have secured the area. Reporter Tim Durkin was on scene and reported seeing OPP officers enter the bank with long guns.
Quinte West OPP Constable David Ludington reports the scene is under investigation, however wouldn’t confirm if the bank was robbed.
At 2:43 p.m. OPP issued a press release requesting the public’s help in locating a wanted suspect.
Police are currently searching for a man described as white with a stocky build and approximately 300 lbs. He has brown hair, brown eyes and is unshaven. He was wearing a light blue Blue Jay’s cap with dark pants and a shirt with a collar. No approximate age was given.
He was last seen on foot on Dundas Street West in Trenton.
