A 45 year old man from Durham Region has been pronounced dead after being pulled from Rice Lake Friday morning. He was wearing a life jacket.
Northumberland OPP and emergency crews were called to Rice Lake shortly before 8:00 a.m. Friday morning.
Police believe the man was fishing on Rice Lake with a friend. OPP Central Region Emergency Response Team, Marine units from Northumberland County, Underwater Search and Recovery and Aviation Services are on-site today and continue to search the waters for a possible second male.
A fishing boat has also been pulled from the lake.
