Belleville is marking the year with major construction starts, and almost all of it is private money.
Manager of of Economic Development Karen Poste painted a rosy picture of the city’s year-to-date in her report to the Quinte Economic Development Commission Tuesday.
Poste says the city posted $95 million worth of construction starts in the first 10 months of 2016.
Poste says the housing sector is also going well with the average price at $257,000.
Both Quinte West and Brighton reported increased construction values as well.
