The Bay of Quinte Yacht Club and the Bay of Quinte Power Squadron, in conjunction with the Belleville Fire Department are conducting emergency flare and fire extinguisher training at Victoria Harbour from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5th.
As this is a daytime event there should be no notable community impact.
Regional boaters are invited to bring their expired flares and fire extinguishers to this event as it is imperative that expired ordnance and pressurized vessels are neutralized prior to disposal.
Fire Services will be in attendance for fire extinguisher training and to assist with pyrotechnic disarming and public fire education.
