The Quinte and District Association of Realtors is touting another big month for real estate sales in the region.
President Cathy Polan says sales for all property types were up 11.2% in October of this year, compared to the same month last year.
269 residential units were sold last month, whereas 238 were sold in October of 2015, marking a 13.7% jump, even though listings are down by about 44%.
Polan says that even though listings are down year over year, the increase in value of units sold means Quinte is still a strong area to start a new business or find a new family home.
