Prince Edward County mayor Robert Quaiff says a special meeting held to discuss council priorities going forward was very productive.
On Wednesday, council held a candid discussion, exploring the challenges and opportunities they are facing as a municipality.
Mayor Quaiff says a large portion of the day was spent reflecting on their first couple of years and discussing priorities for the next two.
He explained they also worked on developing their expectations for the implementation of the new corporate strategic plan.
In August 2016, council approved the new plan that outlines five major priorities including: financial stability, business friendly environment, maintain rural and historic character, a community with employment and affordable housing and sustainable community healthcare.
