Another former Wellington Duke is making the jump to pro hockey.
The American Hockey League’s Manitoba Moose have announced Marysville native Darcy Murphy to a professional tryout agreement.
Murphy, who played at Colgate University after leaving Wellington, started this season with the ECHL Tulsa Oilers and had six points and four penalty minutes, in seven games.
During his time with the Dukes, the small but speedy forward totaled 127 points in 99 career games.
