Former Trenton ward councillor Doug Whitney, is one of three who will be honoured on a plaque at Quinte West City Hall.
Quinte West will be honouring three former councillors who died while in office at a special ceremony next week.
At the ceremony, a memorial council plaque will be unveiled commemorating former councillors Roy Ingram, Doreen Reid and Doug Whitney.
In March, council approved having a plaque made to honour them.
The ceremony will be at at City Hall on November 7 at 5 p.m.
