OPP are putting out a bulletin for a suspicious vehicle, after a group of students noticed something strange in Tamworth last week.
The group was having lunch in a park on Wheeler Street when they noticed a woman taking photos in their direction, from a beige van with tinted windows, parked nearby.
The students reported the van to school authorities, who contacted police.
No licence plate was taken down, but police want to speak to the man and woman who were seen in the van.
The man driving is described as a white man, with white hair, a goatee and large dark sunglasses.
The woman in the passenger seat, seen taking photos, is described as much younger than the driver, with dark hair and sunglasses.
OPP have also released the following reminders for parents to give their kids:
- Dont’ speak to people you don’t know
- Dont’ let anyone take your photo without parental permission
- Make sure your kids can contact you, either at work or via your cell phone
- Keep the door locked and don’t open it for anyone you don’t know, if you’re home alone
- Remind your kids it’s OK to say “no” to anything that makes them feel scared, confused, or uncomfortable.
