Napanee Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a call at 2:00 a.m. Sunday.
A 38-year-old woman was arrested and charged with assault after she allegedly punched her boyfriend in the face during a verbal altercation.
The man sustained a minor injury.
The woman was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee on November 22.
