There was a tragic ATV accident in Prince Edward County earlier this morning(Sunday).
At approximately 2:30 a.m., Prince Edward OPP officers were dispatched to a residence on Salisbury Road in Ameliasburgh, southeast of Rossmore to investigate a single vehicle collision involving an ATV.
Police have determined that 20 year old Tristen Clayton of Ameliasburgh had been operating the ATV and at some point he lost control, resulting in the ATV rolling over on him. Clayton had been wearing a helmet, however sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol may have been a factor in the incident.
