With Halloween just days away the Ontario Dental Association has some tips for parents, to help keep their kids’ teeth healthy, with all the candy that’s around the corner.
ODA President Dr. Jack McLister says chewy gummy candies are the worst for your teeth.
He says hard candies, like suckers aren’t much better either.
But Dr. McLister does tell Quinte News, since it’s inevitable that kids will be chowing down in the weeks ahead, one type of candy will technically do the least harm.
Dr. McLister adds when it comes down to it, candy should always be a treat and not “binged on” and we should always be concerned about our sugar intake.
He also passed along the usual reminder to always brush your teeth after eating candies.
