Dawson Ellis’ goal just 1:16 into overtime proved to be the difference in a 6-5 Picton Pirates victory over the Napanee Raiders on Friday night.
Ellis added another goal earlier on for the “Patch-Eyes” for a two-point night and Mitch Thompson, Will Harrison and Christian Antoski added multi-point games. Jacob Murphy and Trey Maracle also had single goals for Picton.
Five different Raiders scored in a losing cause and former Wellington Duke Justynn Steven added three assists.
Aaron Young made 26 saves in relief of Brendan Macham for the win, Jeremy Wasson stopped 20 for Napanee in the loss.
The Raiders continue their busy weekend in Campbellford Saturday night, while Picton is off until Thursday, when they face the Gananoque Islanders.
