Central Hastings OPP are reminding the public to drive to the conditions following a two vehicle crash in Belleville Thursday night.
At 7:35 p.m., officers responded to a crash involving a snow plow and a car near Clearview Road.
According to police a south bound snow plow struck a guard rail which tipped the truck on its side spilling its load. A south-bound car subsequently rear ended the snow plow. None of the involved drivers were injured. The highway was blocked for several hours while the vehicles were removed and the roadway was cleaned up.
Drivers are encouraged to check road conditions before heading out, reduce speed, leave extra space between vehicles, stay behind working snowplows and use winter tires for added safety.
