Last week’s “Out of This World” gala, featuring Colonel Chris Hadfield, raised more than $50,000 for the National Air Force Museum of Canada Foundation.
The Trenton museum is planning to build a 125-seat auditorium.
In addition to the money raised by the gala, there were also 11 pledges of $1000 each to have a “Seat of Honour” in the proposed theatre.
A plaque will be placed on the back of those seats to honour a loved one or someone they feel they would like to honour.
