A pair of Quinte West business owners have been selected to be the 2017 Children’s Foundation Guardian Angels.
Ken and Cynthya Schmidt, owners of the McDonald’s in Trenton, have been selected, for their work with children and in the community.
Ken Schmidt says anything that helps children is great for the community.
Cynthya Schmidt says the honour is humbling.
Children’s Foundation Exectuive Director Connie Reid says they do wonderful work in the community.
Ken and Cynthya have both been on the board for the Children’s Foundation, and Cynthia has worked with the YMCA and the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation.
They have both worked with Quinte Sailability, the Learn to Skate Program and have raised funds for the Splash Pad in Trenton.
They will be honoured at this year’s foundation gala, which is slated for March 4th, 2017
