The Wellington Dukes rode a 47 save night by Connor Ryckman to a 2-1 OJHL East Division showdown victory over the Cobourg Cougars.
Mitchell Mendonca and Justin Bean staked Wellington to a 2-0 first period lead which Ryckman made stand up. He was particularly sharp in the third with 20 saves.
The win moves the Dukes one point behind the third place Cougars and just 3 behind division leading Trenton. Wellington plays the Golden Hawks on Friday night.
