Arrests have been made and cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana and other drugs have been seized, after a traffic stop and police raid in Stirling-Rawdon last week.
Last Thursday afternoon, Central Hastings OPP stopped a car on Springbrook Road, in Stirling-Rawdon and arrested the driver and passenger for trafficking cocaine.
Not long after, officers from the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Drug Enforcement, Emergency Response and Canine Units, raided a home on Forsyth Street in Marmora and Lake, where they found more drugs, a large sum of money, a bullet-proof vest and some recreational vehicles.
33 year-old Brent Gerard and 26 year-old Lauren Gerard, both of Marmora, are facing various drug-related charges.
Brent Gerard and 33 year-old Robert Thomson, of Marmora, are also charged with extortion, after a family reported being threatened over an outstanding monetary debt.
