Belleville city council will be looking at a proposed capital budget of $36.1 million when it begins debate on Tuesday morning.
One of the major items will be expansion of the transit storage facility on Coleman Street at a cost of $2.3 million.
Another item in the staff recommendations is design work for the future proposed renovation of the West Zwick’s Park multi-sports field.
The capital budget includes not only asset management, but also $10.6 million for new acquisitions and development.

The proposal to replace Belleville’s pedestrian bridge in the downtown will come before city council this week.
A new bridge to replace the Catherine Street pedestrian bridge is included in staff recommendations for the 2017 capital budget.
At $2.3 million, the new bridge would be able to accommodate not only pedestrians, but also cyclists and light service vehicles as well.
A consultant’s detailed design is to be completed in March 2017 in order to have a contract tender ready for construction in 2017.
The Bell Creek bridge rehabilitation work, and design work on the Latta bridge are also included in the budget recommendations
