Belleville council will likely set a policy on how to handle its share of revenues coming from Shorelines Casino Belleville at its meeting Monday.
Council will see a staff report outlining what share the city will receive from the slots and live gaming tables.
Revenue sharing will be done on a sliding scale depending on how much money the casino takes in, ranging from 5.25 % on revenue under $65 million to .05 % on revenues over $500 million.
The city will receive 4% of live gaming tables revenue.
Also, it’s being recommended that council flow the revenues into a reserve account where 65% of the money would go to infrastructure maintenance, and 10% for economic development. Smaller amounts would be for land acquisition, assistance to the vulnerable, disaster mitigation and vehicle/equipment replacement.
