It was a double medal weekend for Julia Wilson at a black belt Karate Grand Prix event in Unionville.
The grade 9 student at Nicholson earned a silver in her category in Kumite and a bronze in Kata. Wilson earns points toward making the provincial team that will compete at the Canadian National Black Belt Championships in Quebec City in February.
Wilson competes out of Kenzo Dozono’s Belleville S.K.I. Karate School.
