The launch of the 2016 History Moments television series took place Oct. 14 at the National Air Force Museum in Trenton.
Now in its sixth season, the series is made up of 12 two-minute video stories showcasing the history of Eastern Ontario communities.
Owner and founder of History Lives Here, Peter Lockyer, created the series with the help of his team.
He tells us that these television vignettes are a great way to celebrate the past of Eastern Ontario.
The stories range in topic and time from the war years and the founding of CFB Trenton, to those of a local artist who captured rural life through his paintings.
Lockyer says they are a great way to bring together and educate the community, especially with a big milestone coming up next year for Canada.
