After five seasons and two Stanley Cups with the Chicago Black Hawks Belleville’s Andrew Shaw wasted no time making an impression with the Montreal Canadiens.
Shaw scored his first goal in his first game with the Habs as they beat the Buffalo Sabres 4-1 in the season opener for both teams. Shaw also got kicked out of the game late in the third when he received a 5 minute major penalty and a game misconduct for a “slewfoot”. Shaw missed 3 games in the pre season for boarding Washington’s Connor Hobbs.
