Jeremy Pullara celebrated his 20th birthday with two goals and an assist as the Trenton Golden Hawks hammered the hometown Newmarket Hurricanes 7-0.
Michael Silveri added a pair and Liam Morgan scored a goal and assist. Chris Janzen turned aside 24 shots for his second shutout.
Trenton improves to 11-1 and tonight they host the 9-1 Cobourg Cougars at the Dunc at 7:30. CJBQ will have the play by play for Eastern Overhead Doors at 7:20.
Meanwhile Newmarket is in Wellington tonight at 7:30.
In Provincial Junior “C” hockey, Dawson Ellis scored his second of the game 3 minutes into overtime to give the Picton Pirates a 3-2 victory over the visiting Gananoque Islanders.
Picton is at Napanee tonight at 7:30 at the Strathcona Paper Centre.
