Eastern Ontario wardens have had a chance to sit down with Premier Kathleen Wynne this week to discuss issues particular to this area of the province.
At the meeting in Kingston, the Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus raised the need for relief from the high cost of electricity for eastern Ontario residents who cannot manage the “soaring rates.”
Caucus chair Peter Emon told Quinte News they called for support of the Marmora Pump Storage project and will submit an updated brief to the premier.

The wardens were encouraged to apply for provincial and federal funds for expansion of cell service.
Emon says they also put a word in for more infrastructure money.
