A pilot project to assist seniors living in a “community hub” may soon get underway in Belleville.
Hastings -Quinte social services has been working with the South East Local Health Integration Network and the Victorian Order of Nurses for the past two years, working out a plan for such a service.
Executive director Steve Gatward says they are looking at two such community hubs in Belleville.
Gatward says the idea is to provide assisted-living services.
The pilot project is expected to begin this fall once Hastings County council approves the plan.
