The Belleville Police Service responded to 30 calls for service between October 9th, 2016 at 5:00 a.m. and October 10th, 2016 at 5:00 a.m.
Traffic Complaint
Belleville, Ontario – On October 9th, 2016, at 9:37 p.m. an officer on patrol observed two cars travelling together at a high rate of speed on Hwy 62 at Foxboro. Both cars were stopped and a check revealed that one of the drivers was a suspended driver. The 21-year old Toronto man was issued traffic summons for driving while under suspension and failing to provide an insurance card. He will appear in Traffic Court on November 14th, 2016. The car was towed from the scene.
Disturbances
Belleville, Ontario – On October 10th, 2016, at 1:30 a.m. officers responded to a disturbance in a parking lot on North Front Street. A 24-year old Belleville man had been taken into custody after punching another male. The victim was not injured and did not wish an assault investigation. The offender was charged with being intoxicated in a public place under the Liquor Licence Act. He was lodged in the cells and issued a provincial offence notice.
