The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre at CFB Trenton is spearheading a search on Georgian Bay this morning.
A 9-1-1 call came in around 2 o’clock this morning. A sailboat with a man and woman aboard was taking on water in Georgian Bay, near Meaford.
Conditions on the bay are rough, with gusty winds and waves 5 feet high.
A Coast Guard ship and helicopter, along with a Hercules aircraft from CFB Trenton’s 424 Squadron are involved in the search.
