Businesses in the Northumberland area will be able to benefit from some employee training progams, set to be offered through a Northumberland Manufacturers Association pilot program.
The NMA has received a grant of up to $54,000, which is two-thirds of the funding for the training program, which will help teach entry-to-mid level employees innovative thinking and leadership skills.
NMA Executive Director Judy Selvig, says the training is aimed at helping employees advance their careers and move up within their companies.
She adds, there is a limit on how many people can take part in the program, so interested businesses will have to apply as soon as they can.
Interested businesses can call the NMA office at 905-372-8317 ext 241 to apply.
The training will be done over 17 half-day sessions, starting on November 17, at the Fleming College campus in Cobourg.
