Quinte West is moving ahead with a trial run for leaf and yard waste collection in Sidney and Murray wards.
Monday night, council agreed to setting up collection bins at the Aikens Road Depot, Station #2 Fire Hall Tuckers Corners and Woller ball diamond on November 12 and 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Director Public Works & Environmental Services Chris Angelo said the trial has an estimated cost of $15,000 which will come from surplus supplementary tax revenues.
Quinte West has curbside pickup in Trenton and Frankford wards that allows residents to drop off their leaves and yard waste at landfills.
