As low water conditions continue Quinte West is installing a coin operated bulk water station in Batawa to help residents dealing with depleting wells.
At Monday night’s council meeting it was decided that the bulk water station would be set up on Perry Drive and provide water at a cost of $2.52 per cubic meter.
Director Public Works & Environmental Services Chris Angelo said there have been a number of residents voicing concerns about their wells running dry.
Angelo said updates on when the station is operational will be provided on the City’s website.
