A long time municipal and federal politician is throwing his name back into politics, this time in the provincial scene.
At a gathering at the Madoc Arts Centre Monday night, Daryl Kramp announced he will seek the PC nomination for the next Ontario election.
He will run in the Hastings Lennox & Addington riding.
One of the reasons Kramp says he is running is because Ontario is more and more a have not province.
He says he is noticing a massive divide between urban and rural Ontario.
Kramp served from 2004-2015 as a Member of Parliament for the Prince Edward Hastings riding and was previously in the Madoc council arena.
He announced almost two years to the day of the next Ontario election (October 4, 2018).
Prince Edward Hastings MPP Todd Smith currently covers all of Hastings County.
Smith will run for the seat in the new Bay of Quinte riding, which will become a reality in the upcoming election.
