The OPP will be pushing information to the public about so called “cyber crime” all month long.
OPP say that last year, the top ten cyber scams earned criminals an estimated $1.2 billion, adding that translates to about 80,000 people being stolen from every day.
Police will be using a media and social media campaign to increase the public’s awareness of internet scams.
