There are plans for major upgrades or a replacement of a major bridge in Quinte.
The Ministry of Transportation has signed off on design drawings, for the renovation, or replacement of the Norris Whitney Bridge, between Belleville and northern Prince Edward County (Rossmore).
The study will look at the safety of the structure and whether or not an entire new bridge is needed.
Currently there are major upgrades just to the north of the area.
There is currently a 30 day review period and public meetings will be coming.
